Head coach Sheldon Keefe, who joined the team after parting ways with the Toronto Maple Leafs less than three weeks ago, has now added Jeremy Colliton to his staff. Jeremy Colliton Joins the Coaching Staff
Jeremy Colliton, a coach with notable experience, brings a wealth of knowledge and a tactical approach that should benefit the Devils. Previously, Colliton coached the Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL for the past two seasons, guiding the team to commendable records and playoff appearances. Before his time in Abbotsford, he was the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks for parts of four seasons, becoming the NHL's youngest head coach at the age of 33. Under his leadership, the Blackhawks posted a record of 87-92-26, and he also gained experience coaching their AHL affiliate in Rockford.
Beyond North America's shores, Colliton also brings international coaching experience from his tenure in Sweden's second league from 2013 to 2017. Furthermore, he served as the head coach for Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, stepping in for Claude Julien when he was injured. Although Team Canada did not secure a medal, Colliton's diverse coaching background makes him a valuable addition to the Devils' coaching staff.

The Devils have also chosen to retain a majority of their interim coaching staff, aiming to maintain continuity and a stabilized approach for the next season. Travis Green, who stepped in as the interim coach toward the end of last season following Lindy Ruff's dismissal in early March, remains a part of the coaching infrastructure. Returning alongside Green are assistant coaches Ryan McGill, Chris Taylor, and Sergei Brylin, as well as goaltending coach Dave Rogalski. Colliton's Playing Background
Before transitioning to coaching, Jeremy Colliton was a professional ice hockey player. He was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders and played as a center. During his professional career, Colliton spent six seasons within the Islanders' organization, appearing in 57 NHL games and tallying three goals and three assists. This blend of playing and coaching experience positions Colliton as a coach who can effectively nurture talent and foster growth within the Devils' roster.
